Allium Counseling, a private practice in Illinois, is building its clinical team and looking for psychotherapists to join the practice. We are a small psychotherapy practice looking to grow into a slightly larger— yet still small— group practice. We believe in building a team of experienced clinicians who are thoughtful in their work with clients and in their interactions with colleagues. We are not a training ground for new therapists, but we believe in lifelong professional learning through regular case consultation, collaboration with other colleagues, and professional training and certifications.
Allium Counseling would be a great fit for an experienced clinician seeking a stable, autonomous role where they can do great work with their clients and not have to worry about larger group practice expectations or the challenges of running a solo practice.
Allium Counseling’s Mission
At Allium Counseling, our mission is to help clients achieve wellness and balance in their lives by providing evidence-based psychotherapy that treats the whole person, so that they feel empowered to live truly fulfilling lives.
We do this by:
- Providing the best quality care to our clients
- Fostering a fulfilling and sustainable work environment for our clinicians and staff
- Serving as a resource to the community through education and outreach
Job Description
Compensation is a percentage based on income received and paid out monthly. A therapist must have a niche (eating disorders, ADHD, autism, children, OCD, EMDR, family, etc.). Allium Counseling will provide referrals and promote therapists within the practice; the therapist is also encouraged to market themselves to grow their referral base and recognition in the community.
Because of our small size, a clinician joining our team will slowly build to their full caseload and will not be inundated with too many intakes in the same week. Marketing efforts will be pursued to establish said caseload.
We are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and Blue Choice plans and accept self-pay. We believe that fewer hours spent dealing with insurance issues means more time and energy spent toward what matters: providing the best quality care to our clients and taking good care of ourselves and those we love so that we can be present in our personal lives.
Job Requirements
Requirements for the position include independent licensure in the state of Illinois, preferably with private practice experience.
The candidate must be independent, organized, collaborative, flexible, and open-minded. Allium Counseling believes in respecting clinicians of all backgrounds.
Candidates are welcome to apply for full-time or part-time employee status.
Because of the growing demand for in-person therapy, we are looking to hire a clinician who is interested in seeing clients at our Northfield office at least one day per week. For non-office days, the candidate shall use their own workspace to hold teletherapy sessions.
