COUNSELING & PSYCHOTHERAPY
At Allium Counseling, we provide individualized services based on your unique needs. While we offer traditional counseling sessions, we also offer behavioral and experiential therapies for a more action-oriented approach toward change.
COLLABORATIVE SERVICES
Allium Counseling is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care. This includes coordinating care with your providers so that nothing falls through the cracks. We are also able to help you build a multidisciplinary treatment team with specialists relevant to your needs.
FAMILY THERAPY
Involving family in treatment can be an important part of recovery and healing. Allium Counseling offers family sessions, parent coaching, and Family Based Treatment (FBT) for adolescents and adults with eating disorders.
GROUP THERAPY
Group therapy can be a beneficial addition to individual counseling, as it provides peer support in a therapeutic setting. Allium Counseling offers group therapy for teens, parents and adults. Check our Group Therapy page for current group availability.
SPECIALTIES
EATING AND BODY IMAGE CONCERNS
Allium Counseling specializes in treating all eating disorders including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, avoidant-restrictive food intake disorder, as well as helping those improve complicated relationships with food and/or one’s body image that are causing distress, health issues, or other impairments.
PERFECTIONISM AND BURNOUT
Allium Counseling helps individuals struggling with burnout and/or perfectionism to recalibrate their way of thinking and behaving so that they can be present in the world, and within their minds, in a more flexible, accepting manner. Through therapy, clients can begin to change the way that they understand their own goals, expectations, boundaries, desires and needs.
DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY
Allium Counseling assists clients struggling with a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, OCD, phobias, as well as skin-picking and hair-pulling. If any one of these is something you are struggling with, you you have come to the right place. We have the training and experience to support you using a tailored approach that is aligned with your values and needs.
BEHAVIORAL THERAPIES
Allium Counseling offers Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), which are evidenced-based, action-oriented treatments for a variety of mental health concerns, including eating disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, OCD and trauma.

Embracing Body Positivity: A Journey to Self-Acceptance
Facilitated by Lisa Cody, LCSW
Join Allium Counseling for an 8-week skills and process group centered on self-love and acceptance. This group will provide information on the importance of cultivating a positive self-image and the impact of self-acceptance on mental health. You’ll learn techniques to challenge negative thoughts and develop healthier beliefs about yourself. Additionally, you’ll explore the connection between self-love and body image, gaining tools that can enhance your confidence and foster a supportive community. Together, we’ll work to create lasting changes in how you relate to yourself and your body.

Virtual Eating Disorder Process Group
Mondays 6-7 pm CST

We encourage all adult individuals working on their eating disorder recovery to join.
In this group, we will:
- Explore emotions, thinking patterns and behaviors associated with the eating disorder
- Work toward accepting thoughts and feelings
- Find safe and meaningful ways to express ourselves
- Learn ways to foster a sense of connection and hope for lasting recovery
This group will run for 8 weeks. Individuals are welcome to join at any time, however, in an effort to create a safe and cohesive environment, we do ask that each member make a commitment to attend at least 6 out of the 8 weeks.
