Experienced Counseling for Anxiety with a Supportive, Structured Process for Managing Your Anxious Feelings

At Allium Counseling, we are committed to providing personalized, evidence-based treatment for anxiety that addresses each client’s unique challenges.

Anxiety treatment often requires more than talk therapy. Our experienced and trusted therapists are trained in mindfulness, acceptance, and cognitive behavioral approaches—proven therapeutic techniques that help adolescents and adults reduce anxiety, manage stress, and improve their quality of life.

Anxiety Treatment for Adolescents and Teens

Adolescence is a critical developmental stage where anxiety is common due to academic pressures, social challenges, hormonal changes, and identity formation. Allium Counseling offers specialized anxiety treatment for adolescents and teens, providing a supportive space where they can openly discuss their worries and sources of stress.

Our experienced therapists utilize evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure Therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques to help teens manage symptoms of general anxiety, panic, social anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive behaviors. For teens struggling with body-focused repetitive behaviors such as skin-picking or hair-pulling disorders, we use the Comprehensive Behavioral (ComB) model and other behavioral interventions to help reduce compulsive behaviors and promote self-regulation.

Recognizing that anxiety in teens often co-occurs with other issues like depression or ADHD, we take an integrated approach to treatment, addressing all relevant mental health concerns. We also collaborate with schools and families to create a supportive environment promoting the teen’s well-being and academic success.

Anxiety Treatment for Adults and Older Adults

Anxiety in adulthood can stem from a variety of life stressors, including work pressures, relationship difficulties, financial concerns, internalized expectations, or past trauma. Our practice offers individualized anxiety treatment for adults, focusing on the specific type of anxiety they are experiencing, whether it’s generalized anxiety, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), or stress-related anxiety.

Our licensed therapists use evidence-based therapies like CBT and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help adults challenge irrational fears, reduce avoidance behaviors, and manage overwhelming stress. For adults with panic disorder, we incorporate techniques like interoceptive exposure to help them become less fearful of physical sensations associated with panic attacks.

Allium Counseling also specializes in treating OCD and related conditions, such as skin-picking and hair-pulling. Using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and ComB treatment, we help clients reduce compulsive behaviors and regain control over their daily lives. Whether the anxiety is related to a specific phobia, a work-related issue, or a long-standing struggle with OCD, we work collaboratively with each client to develop practical strategies that lead to lasting relief. We also collaborate with psychiatrists and primary care physicians to ensure clients receive the most comprehensive and effective care.
